Jaquie entered the tavern, glancing around. She saw Deo almost right away in the corner and slowly made her way towards him. When a drunken man dared to take a firm hold of her bottem she whipped around, stabbing a dagger neatly between two fingers on a wooden table. "I wouldn't go there if I were you." Her voice was low and husky, a definate warning tone. With that she pryed the dagger loose and sat down beside Deo. "Captain." She greeted solemly.

Deo sat frozen, staring at the stabbed guy. "Nice entrance."

Jaquie glanced back at the man who was red in the face while his friends were laughing at him. "Thanks" She mumbled. She hated causing a scene but sometimes, it was necessary.
"Find any more crew members?" Deo said, glancing down at the enlistment sheet in front of him, "I got nobody.
"Same here..." Jaquie sighed. "We're never going to go anywhere at this rate."

Deo motioned to Brandon, "Go look around town for some recruits, but don't go to far, we don't want to be another crew member short just from a run-in with the Imperials."

Jaquie leaned back, lacing her hands behind her head. "If I wasn't so cautious of being caught by them, I'd have a few beers." She nodded at Brandon slightly.

Brandon nodded and walked out of the tavern to find crew members. As he walked through town, he saw the Imperials were guarding the dock where he docked the Garnet and Imperials were onboard. "Well, I guess we are going to have to get them off the Garnet. Why do the Imperials always interupt our crew search?" he thought as he walked into the tavern.

Deo looked up to see Brandon come in, "Back already? I don't see anyone with ya." He peaked out the window at the docks Where are you guys?

"Those blasted Imperials are on our ship and they are either going to take it or blow it up." said Brandon. "What are we going to do about it?"

Jaquie scowled at the thought of those pompeous idiots touching her tools. "There isn't anything we can do, really."

"Not alone, but what if we had some assistance?"said Brandon as he looked out the window towards the Le Canard.

Jaquie followed his gaze. Her eyes narrowed on spotting the other ship. "I don't like that idea one bit but it seems with don't have much of a choice. Captain?"

"Leave it to me." Deo said, rising from his seat and staring at Le Canard, "I'm gonna go have a little chat with the captain."

Jaquie nodded glumly, watching Deo. "Good Luck."

Brandon watched Deo board the Le Canard and said to Jaquie "I'm going to keep an eye on those imperials on our ship. After saying that, he walked out the door.

Sarah jumped off The Hunter Ship and looked around. "Good old Tortuga... never changes."

"Good to see you again ma'am." Kika sits on the edge of the docks looking down into the murky waters below.

Sarah looked at her slightly confused. "What are you doing here? I thought you were in the lower decks..." she said.

Kika chuckles and looks out at the waters. "Nope, been here for weeks.... got tossed overboard in that battle against those naval ships. Zexus jumped out in the water to save Kaiser. I threw a rope out to them and was working the cannons and I got hit by a blast and was thrown into the water...."

Sarah nodded. "Are you alright?"

Kika gets up and turns around, with a bandage around her head and right arm. "Well besides having my arm almost ripped off by a cannonball, being burnt like hell from the blast, having my fellow crew mates not even know I was gone, and being in a shitload of pain.... yeah I'm pretty alright."

Sarah bowed her head. "I won't blame you if you wish not to come back with us."

Kika puts her hand on her bandaged head. "I'm still debating on that. After all the pirates code does say any man who falls behind is left behind.... then again I'm not a man." Chuckles a bit.

Sarah smiled lightly and patted her on the shoulder gently. "I'm leaving it up to you."

Kika stands up and starts walking back to the inn. "Let the crew decided that."

"fig're we'll all say the same thing, ma'am" Zexus pats Kika's good shoulder as he strides off into town.

"And what would that be?" Kika walks beside Zexus.

"We'd prefer ya did!" Zexus called back, without turning around.

Kika keeps walking heading into the inn waving her hand at them.

Zexus looked down at her "So, hows the wait been?"

Aribelian left the ship quietly, and entered tortuga.

Kika sits down at a table in the inn's pub and orders a glass of rum. "Eh?"

Zexus sat in a chair and propped his feet up on another. "nothin"

Kika looks down into her rum, placing her left hand on her right shoulder. "I've been waiting to heal more then go back to the ship, really."

Zexus scanned her arm. "so, you see any doctors about that?"

Kika drinks a bit of her rum and sits it back down. "Yeah, yesterday I left and went to another town another town and got it checked out thanks to some friendly merchants."

Kaiser had reached the rich part of Tortuga."Its been along time since I've been here." he said sneaking up on a house and entering through a window.

Zexus leaned back in his chair. "So, do you know when you'll be able to use your arm again?"

Kika removes her hand from her shoulder and gulps down the rest of her drink. "Probably never."

"that's no good" Zexus replied, unexpectedly calm

Damion wandered around Tortuga with his head down searching for something to do.

Sarah went to a warehouse and bought some supplies. She went back to the ship and started patching the sides.

Damion saw Sarah go back onto the ship. He wandered back up and stood next to her. "How may I help Cap'n?"

Sarah took off her trench coat and smiled. "Its alright, you go have fun with the others. I'm just going to repair the ship."

Kaiser walked up to a painting and removed it revealing a safe."Same spot as before." he said opening it and taking all the jewels and money."You loaded this time."

"Yeah..." Kika lowers her head, looking down into her empty glass.

Zexus looked back at Kika "Just dun let it get you down, mate. There are always alternatives to your arm."

Kika leans back. "Yeah I could always cut it off.. if I couldn't do this." Kika stuggles and grunts moving her right arm up and flicking Zexus off.

"Well, if you dun want to lose it, I know a carpenter back in India who could make a nice brace for it" Zexus said, trying not to laugh a bit.

"I have one of those coming later, with a bunch of pain killers as well. Those merchants are delivering it." Kika puts her arm back in her sling.

"sounds good, well just tell me when you decide whether or not you'll be stayin' on the ship" Zexus stood up and walked back to the ship.

"The ship...." Kika leaves the inn and returns to her thinking spot at the edge of the docks.

Kaiser went into shop and bought himself some minor goods and a couple kits."These will come in handy." He then stole several wallets of nearby customers and walked out of the shop and started running.

Kika walks onto the ship and spots Sarah. "You need any help with that?"

Sarah chuckled. "You sure your up to it? Because I can really do it myself..." she smiled.

Kika grabs a hammer and nails. "Why wouldn't I be? Beats sitting around all day talking to Zexus." Chuckles and starts fixing the ship.

"Indeed it does" Zexus said cheerily, dropping off some lumber and putting supplies on the ship.

Sarah smiled and shrugged. "Its up to you guys..."

Zexus pulled out a piece of paper "Well, were fully stocked on food water and provisions, so is there anything else anyone needs before I lock the money up?"

Kaiser walks up carrying to bags one with jewels and one with money."I got a good haul this time." he said smirking.

Damion started fixing the ship beside Sarah. He continually glanced over at her secretly.

"Go to my room at the inn and in the bottom drawer of the dresser should be a bag of money to add to the ships stash." Kika continues hammering nails into planks of wood.

Sarah smiled and continued working. I've got such a good crew... she thought.

Kaiser reached into his pocket pulling out a old piece of papyrus."Captain Sarah I found a map to some treasure." he said.

"Alright" Zexus jumped off the ship and strode into the inn, heading up the stairs to where the owner told him her room was. He grabbed the money and went back to the ship.

Sarah took the map and looked at it. "I see..."

"Its old though from what I can tell." Kaiser said pulling out a magnifying glass so he could see the small writing on it."I bought some gear after getting the map." he said.

Sarah smiled and gave the map to Damion. "I'm sure our map keeper can take good care of it."

Kika finishes repairing the deck. "Are there any more damages to the ship?"

"The sides. We'll be here for just one more day it looks like." Sarah smiled.

Zexus put the money in the hold and locked the bolts on the door, leaving his coat below deck so that he could move more freely on the side of the ship. He brought some ropes to the upper deck "so we ready to get ta work on the sides yet?" He tied the ropes to the mast

Sarah nodded. "Yes, I have to wait for one of the Pirate Lords to get here, only for the fact that she sent me a letter a few days ago, so we may be here for a while."

Kika removed her jacket carefully, now in her tanktop shirt, grabing more planks and nails. "Was getting kind of hot there." Chuckles as she begins fixing the sides of the ship.

Zexus tied himself off and jumped over the other side with some planks of wood to fix it

Kaiser took off his vest and shirt and grabbed a couple planks and started working on repairing the sides.

"Its not fair guys get to run aroun with no shirts on!" Kika laughs and continues working.

Sarah chuckled and continued patching a good siza hole on the side.

Zexus laughed "well, just so you don't get too jealous, I'll leave mine on." He moved to the front of the ship to makes some repairs to the hull.

Kika laughs finishing her little area and moves up and repairs the crows nest. "I'm not jealous, just a bit of envy."

"Alright" Zexus smiled and moved to repair the area around the rudder.

Sarah finished patching up the side and sighed. She climbed up and started working on one of the sails.

Carmen walked onto the dock. She looked around, her happy, care free expression had returned.

Sarah saw the bird land on her shoulder and whistled, it flying up on her arm. "So your the one i'm supposed to meet with I see?"

Carmen turned and had a kind smile. "Captain Sarah...So.We meet once more..."

Sarah finished sowing the sail and jumped onto the deck. "Captain Carmen, the pleasure is mine."

"Its been a while since I saw you last...You've grown up pretty well but, your memory, I see, is still not perfected." Carmen smiled and bowed.

Sarah looked slightly confused. "Yeah, I guess..." she chuckled lightly.

"You barely remember who I am...Dont you...?" Carmen flipped her hair back.

Sarah nodded. "Yeah, just a bit." she chuckled. "If I don't see you everyday I'm sure to forget."

Carmen chuckled. "We use to be best friends in our childhood. We always dreamed of becoming the best female captains there ever was."

Kika finishes and climbs back down, greeting Carmen. "Hello Captain Carmen."

Sarah blunk and suddenly grinned. "Thats right!! Now I remember!"

Carmen bowed again."Gretting Kika."She stood up striaght and smiled at Sarah."I knew you couldnt forget me.C'mere."She gave her a big hug.

Sarah hugged her back.

"This calls for a celebration!All the rum we can drink."

Sarah chuckled. "You know I can't get drunk off rum."

"All the better.Then you can make sure no perv tries to get me."Carmen laughed.

Sarah smiled. "Sure, but first I wamt to finish repairing my ship."

Zexus swung around to the dock side of the ship "Go on cap'n, we'll finish the ship for yee"

"Oh nono. I want all my crew and hers to join me. I'll help you."

Sarah chuckled. "She took the words out of my mouth."

Carmen smiled. "I can get back to repairs on my ship any time. Come on." She grabbed a rope and swung on board.

Sarah smiles and moves onto another hole.

Kika goes and down into the ship and fixes the inside of the haul.

Kaiser finishes the holes on his side and climbs on deck to check for any more holes.

Zexus finished repairing the rudder and the area around it then goes to check the deck.

Kika goes in and out of each room repairing any holes or cracks in the ship.

Sarah finishes up one her hole and goes up to the deck.

Zexus went around the ship, straitening up and fixing the cannons.

Kika goes up to the deck and grabs a few buckets of paint and primer and heads back down and paints the damaged haul and rooms.

Sarah walked over to the helm and started there, fixing the rails.

Kaiser started working on the deck repairing it.

Carmen had fix a big hole and cracked ehr back. "Damn.. How'd your ship get this wrecked?"

Kika come up from below deck, with paint all over her. "I'm still wondering that too." Laughs and goes to get more paint and paints the railings.

"Need some help there Kika?" Carmen asked, lugging a big piece of wood on her shoulder.

Kika looks over and laughs. "It looks like your busy hauling that wood around there."

"That bloody EITC again..." Sarah growled.

aribelian walked back to the ship, thinking hard. if he could stay on the hunter, then he would use his power to help the ship and everyone on it. as he neared the ship he noticed that repairs were almost finashed.
"captain!" he shouted.

Sarah jumped down in front of him. "Yes?"

aribelian took a step back and said," i will lend my shields to your ship but only if you trust me."

Sarah smiled. "Who said I didn't trust you?" she held out her hand. "As long as the Captain trusts you, who cares about everyone else, ne?"

aribelian smiled, "aye, then my power shall alway be at your back. just be sure to let me know in advance to raise my shields, eh?"

Sarah nodded and shook his hand. "Its a deal then."

"what would you have me do now, captain? i can repaire things without the aide of tools, and i can go underwater to fix the underside of your ship." said aribelian thoughtfully

"Could you check the underside and make sure there is no damage?" Sarah asked.

"aye, captian!"

Jaquie looked up as Brandon returned from his crew search. At the bleak look on his face she frowned. "What did you find?"

"The Imperials are on our ship and they looked like they were going to take it. I suggest we go and fight our way back to the ship." said Brandon.

Zexus climbed back on to the deck of the ship, wringing out the hems of his soaked clothes over the side of the ship. "well, she's just about done cap'n"

"Good, as soon as shes done we'll head to the bar, seeing that Carmen wants to celebrate... something." Sarah said.

Kaiser finished the hole he was patching and looked around.

"Ow!"Carmen bit her finger."Damn splinters..."

Sarah looked over at her.

Carmen pulled the piece of wood out of her hand.

"Other than a few small patches in the main sail, we should be ready to go, so why don't y'all head on while I do that?" Zexus climbed up to the main sail with some large thread and an over sized needle..

Carmen followed him."Na,your working your bum off.let me do that for you."

Zexus chucked as he finished the first patching the first of several holes. "Not at all miss, this should only take a few minutes."

Kika finishes the paint repair of the ship and set everything down grabbing her other shirt and jacket, putting them back on carefully. "Well now its all good and ready to go, I guess its time for me to be leaving now."

Zexus finished patching the Main sail and climbed down, heading down to get his jacket.

Sarah smiled at Kika. "That is, if you want to join us again." she said.

Kika stands at the railing, ready to hop off the ship and back on the docks. "Thats all up to the crew and you captain, otherwise, my place is here in Tortuga."

Zexus jumped down onto the dock. "Well, at least have a pint with us."

Sarah nodded. "I wouldn't be asking you to stay if I didn't want you here... keep that in mind."

Kika jumped down carefully landing beside Zexus. "I'll pass on that pint... I must go retreive the brace for my arm."

Zexus looked down at her. "Aight, you want any company while getting that brace?"

Kika stands up and looks over at him. "Why? So you can find another fight with some random thugs that might try to attack me?"

Zexus started walking towards town. "Nah, just ta be a friend."

Kika catches up to him. "If you like."

Zexus continued walking. "You know, I dun think that anybody back on the ship wants you to leave."

Kaiser jumps over the rail and lays on the beach.

Kika walks over to the doors of the inn and opens the door for Zexus. "Then again, I don't know everyone thats on the ship now."

Zexus walked in and held the door so that Kika could enter. "True, but the original crew are all still there...and if they don't know you, they know your cookin'?"

Kika walked in and smiles at Zexus. "Thank you and thats true but I don't know..." Walks up to her room opening the loose door and grabbing the big package on her bed.

aribelian walked up to carmen, and said, "captain carmen? i think my little sister is on your ship. her name's arvenya."

Zexus stood by the door to Kikas room.

Kika tore the wrapping off and opened the box pulling out a large metal arm brace. "This is it."

Zexus scanned it with his eyes. "looks well made."

"It should be considering it was made by a former shipmate of mine." Kika grabs in and snaps it onto her right arm screaming due to the pain.

Zexus leaned against the wall. "Ah, that's good, need help tightening it into place?"

Kika winces in pain and tightens it a bit. "Yeah sure."

Zexus kneeled down beside Kika. "Alright, well, you might wanna brace yourself." He turned it quickly, fully tightening it Without taking notice of Kika's screams.

Kika screams again falling to the floor breathing heavily. "Holy shit!"

Zexus offered he a hand to help her up. "Eh, it'll go numb soon, but it won't hurt much after that."

Kika grabs his hand and gets up holding her right arm carefully. "Thats easy for you to say."

Zexus chuckled. "Indeed it is. Perhaps I'll show you why sometime. Well, I'm off to join the crew for a drink, you coming?"

Kika looked around. "I'm not really in the mood to drink."

Zexus stopped by the door. "Neither am I, but it's nice to relax with the rest of the crew." He continued to walk off.

Kika just sits there and lays down on her bed. "Yea...."

Zexus stopped in on the stairs as several sketchy looking men pass him.

Kika lays there and passes out due to the overwelming pain.

Zexus felt a rare twinge of guilt and went back to check on Kika, Covering her up and closing the window so she wouldn't be disturbed and sat in the chair, checking on her every once in a while.

Kika wake up and looks over at Zexus. "What are you still doing here?"

"Figured I had some things to take care of." Zexus said, sitting in the chair.

"What things?" Kika sits up, rubbing her eyes*

"Nothing important, so how's your arm?" Zexus asked.

Kika looks at him rubbing her right arm. "Numb, like you said."

"Figured." Zexus began to rummage in the pockets of his coat.

Damion suddenly yelled of pain. "OW! DAMN HAMMER!"

Kika pulls the covers off and stands up. "You can go if you like."

Sarah walked over to Damion. "Are you alright?"

Zexus tossed Kika a small package. "They're pain killers, they should help if you have to use that arm before it's ready."

Kika puts it in a pack on her side. "You mean for when we're on the ship?"

Damion jumped and looked at Sarah. He was sucking on the tip of his thumb. He pulled his thumb out of his mouth. "Yea. I'm fine. Just DAMN HAMMER!" He said again.

Zexus smiled a disarming smile. "Only if you want to."

Sarah chuckled. "You should be more careful, ne?"

Kika looked at him and smiled. "Yeah, I'm tired of sitting around here eating this crappy food anyways. I'll just get the ship stored with all all the things I'll need then I'll go there."

Damion chuckled as he picked the hammer back up. "I'll try but i can't garuntee(sp?) anything." He said laughing.

Zexus walked out into the hallway. "After you, Ma'am."

Kika walked out into the hallway along side Zexus. "Its Kika... no need to call me ma'am."

Sarah smiled. "As soon as everything is done we're going to the bar to celebrate."

Damions eyes suddenly widdened with excitement as he got back to work.

Sarah chuckled and walked up to the deck.

Carmen waved down to Sarah from a mask,patching it up.

Zexus walked downstairs. "If you say so...Kika."

"Thats better." Kika smiles and follows him out the inn and walks down a side street.

Zexus walked in pace with Kika. "So, what're we getting?"

Kika walks into a big market place selling tons of different types of foods. "Well I'm not exactly sure how well the ship is stocked with food and all so I figure I'd better get some and stock up on stuff for our next journey."

Zexus looked around. "Ah."

Kika looks at him and laughs. "So I guess we should stock up on the stuff that will last the longest." Walks over to a stall selling potatoes and other vegetables and hands the seller a large about of money.

"Sounds good to me" Zexus stood by quietly as Kika made her transactions.

Kika hands Zexus a bad of coins. "Here go get order a bunch of fruit over there at that stand and tell them to have it delivered to the ship while I go check out the meat."

Zexus did as he was told and ordered the fruit, then returned beside Kika.

Kika handed over some more money then looked over at Zexus, as she ate an apple. "All done."

Zexus smiled his usual smile. "After you then."

Kika starts heading back to the ship. "So do you know when we are departing?"

Zexus chuckled. "Most likely as soon as everyone gets over their hangovers."

Kika laughs. "Yeah, but they'll have to drink a lot more then rum to get a hang over considering they are always drinking it."

Zexus turned onto the dock. "Perhaps, but there's also quantity to consider. They're not paying for the rum this time."

Kika keeps walking at a steady pace. "At the rate they drink, all the rum will be gone in one night."

Zexus stifled a laugh. "The pub won't know what hit it."

Kika looks over at him. "So are you planing on getting wasted too?"

Zexus stopped in front of the ship. "Perhaps a pint or so, but no, I won't be getting drunk."

Kika carefully got onto the boat. "I'm not either. It slowly down the healing possess greatly."

Zexus carelessly lept up onto the boat. "That it does."

Kika looks around and starts walking to the steps leading down into the boat. "Well I'm going to rest for a bit while waiting for the food supplies to be delievered."

"Alright, you do that." Zexus walked over to the railing of the ship and layed down on it.

Kaiser had gotten bored laying on the beach so he grabbed his shirt and vest and headed into town to do some work.

Elizabeth came walking onto the dock, looking around and sighing quietly. "So... Zexus... What's up? I haven't talked to you in a while, actually.. Haven't spoke to you at all since I've been on the ship." She walked over and sat on the rail next to Zexus, smiling at him warmly. "How's it been?"

Zexus opened one eye and looked up at Elzabeth. "It's all gone well miss, we've fixed the ship and we're getting free rum. What more could a seadog ask for?"

"well, I know what this "seadog" could ask for, but I wouldn't lay that out on you." Elizabeth smiled over to him, placing her hands firmly on the rail. "and, by the way, don't call me miss.. Makes me feel old like my mother..." She shuddered at the thought of being as old as her mother, giggling afterwards. "I just can't see myself being 39."

"Of course you couldn't. Your far too young." Zexus put his hands behind his head and closed his eyes once more.

"Well, I'll leave you alone so you can lounge about. See ya' around Zexus." Elizabeth said, placing herhand on his arm before getting off the rail and heading down to the dock. "Hey, Captain, you know if there is anything I can do? Is there anything you need to be done?"

"Heh, Odd one, that one is." Zexus looked up at the clouds, yawning and returning to his daydreaming.

Sarah looked at Elizabeth and smiled. "Nope, we're done."

"Aww, already?!" Elizabeth said, hunching over heavily and sighing. "Man, I got more action killing the king than I did coming to this crew..."

"You've missed most of the action my friend." Sarah said, putting on her trench coat.

"I suppose, came kind of late to the party.." Elizabeth straightened her posture and looked up at the boat, smiling a bit. "Can I ask you something?"

Sarah nodded. "Yes? What is it?"

"What made you want to become a captain? What made you want to be a pirate?"

Sarah thought. "I became a pirate because I had no choice, and I became captain because the previous captain died and gave me his position."

"What do you mean you had no choice?" Elizabeth asked curiously, tilting her head slightly to the left.

"I jumped on the ship trying to get to a different place, but they found me and said that if I didn't work on the ship as a crewmate they would torture me until I did." Sarah smiled.

"Wow, harsh.. Almost as harsh as what happened to me.. Erm.. So, what type of captain was your captain.. Fair, greedy, nice, an asshole?"

"Asshole." Sarah grinned. "Its no wonder why someone poisoned him..." she shrugged, "I know it wasn't me..."

"You know, I think I would've taken the chance at being tortured.." Elizabeth shuddered and gave a low moan. "Men, swords, blod.. Such fun.."

"But if I did... I wouldn't be captain now." Sarah smirked.

"Alright, alirhgt.. Touche!" Elizabeth said with a small grin. "so, are we going to be leaving soon, or do we have to wait for the others to get back?"

"We'll be leaving tomorrow. Carmen and I are having a meeting, and the crews are going to get drunk, and be merry." Sarah said.

"Well, I'll just be waiting on the ship till we leave then..." Elizabeth bowed her head to Sarah and walked off back to the ship.

"Hey, Elizabeth...don't be so trusting about telling people you assassinated that king, it could cause trouble for the ship." Zexus said, his eyes still closed.

Elizabeth smiled and gave a small poke to Zexus' foot. "Don't worry, the Spanish fools already "killed" me. I doubt they'll go looking for a dead girl if word ever gets out to anybody."

Zexus chuckled. "It's not those Spanish 'fools' who'd be a problem."

"Who would it be, Zexus?" Elizabeth asked curiously.

Zexus opened one eye. "Perhaps you'll see one day soon."

Elizabeth gave a confident grin to Zexus and poked his foot again. "Alright, but I'll be ready for whatever comes our way."

"If you say so." Zexus closed his eye once more.

Kika climbed up the steps, and walked across the deck. "How things going topside?"

"Clear skies and a nice breeze. As good as one could hope for." Zexus said, yawning.

Elizabeth smiled back to Kika and waved to the both of them as she headed to the furthest end of the boat.

Kika waves back and walks over to Zexus and smiles at him. "Sleepy much?"

Zexus stretched his arms. "Anything wrong with that?"

"Not at all. Was just curious." Kika jumps over the railing and off the boat watching as the food get delievered.

Zexus rolled over the side, twisting and kicking off the side of the ship, land on the dock feet first.

Kika looks over at him laughing as she carries the boxes onto the ship.

"Need some extra hands?" Zexus asked

"Sure, considering my right arm is still sore." Kika chuckles and continues carrying boxes onto the ship.

Zexus piled the boxes on his shouders and carried them onto the ship.

Kika finishes loading the rest of the boxes onto the ship. "Its a lovely day to be a pirate."

"Hey Zexus wanna spar?" asked Ziar

Sarah stretched and yawned.

"Uh...Sarah...Can you help me down...?"Carmen asked.She was still hanging upside down.

Sarah looked up at her. "You can get down..."

"Without smashing my skull against the floor?I think not."

"With how many times I've hit you in the head? You'll be fine!" Sarah grinned.

Carmen sighed."If I break through the floor,your fixing it..."

Sarah smiled and drew her sword. "You wont touch it, I bet you."

"Okay...For some reason, I have afeeling half way I'm falling,your guna slice my head off...Now I dont feel like letting go..."Carmen hugged the mask

Sarah frowned. "Just trust me will ya?"

"After you almost drowned me?15 times?I think not."Carmen stuck her tongue out.

"Im only going to pin you to the mast as you fall." Sarah smiled pleasently.

"I know that smile..But fine.."Carmen let go.

Sarah threw her sword and pinned Carmen to the mast by her shirt, just inches above the deck.

"Oh bugger."Carmen pulled the sword out."You ripped my favorite shirt..."

Sarah grinned.

Kaiser made his way to the gallows to look at them."Last time." he said to himself.

Zexus reached into his long coat and pulled out his katana and a new wakizashi. "Aight, why not..and your name Ziar, right?"

Kika puts the items where they need to go and comes back topside leaning on the railing. "You two be careful now."

"Yeah yeah." Zexus tossed the sheaths of his weapons up onto the ship deck.

Kika gets hit by Zexus sheaths. "Hey you fucker! Be careful where you're throwing shit or I'll come down there and kick your ass."

"Yeah im Ziar." Ziar pulls out his thickened katana. This is gonna be intreasting to say the least.

"I do believe your right." Zexus held his katana and wakizashi in a cross in front of him, then dashed forward, slashing in a cross and spinning with the blades out to the sides, slashing repeatedly at Ziars chest and stomach.

"Fuuck that hurts like hell." Ziar screams cause he only blocked 3/4 of Zexus attack and then laughs. "Your good but lets see how good." Ziar charges at Zexus and jumps in the air and swings his large katana at Zexus's head.

Zexus leaned back, dropping to his knees as he deflected the blow with his wakizashi and stabbed at Ziars chest with his katana. "Good enough I'd say."

Ziar laugh cause hes standing behind Zexus. "Sorry I'm a little fast and human eyes cant keep up with my speed so it kinda creates the illsion I'm where I was before." Ziar holds his katana to the back of Zexus's neak. Do you yealed?

Before Zexus had finished his sentence, Zexus pushed his feet from under him and kicked Ziar's throat. "Yeah yeah, heard it all before." He knelt down, hes blade parallel to the ground.

Ziar laughed"i had a feeling you wouldnt yelled.Ziar reshethed his katana and pulled out a small pole with a glave blade ontop and charged at Zexus then suddenly stoped as he looked down at his necklace. humm im sorry but we must finish this sum other time though im sure you would beat me i have madders to tend too good fight though and i look forward to finishing it. Ziar bowed and put away his weapon then leaped to his boat and sailed away.

Kika sits on the railing of the boat, watching the two as they fight. "Men..." Laughs and goes and grabs a bag of cookies and comtinues watching them.

Carmen sat on the railing with some rum."Kika...What exactly are they doing?"

"They are being men." Elizabeth said simply as she walked back to the railing and sat down on it, staring down and watching out of sheer boredom. "Man, I'm telling you now, they aren't nothing compared to some of the pirates I've seen while in Spain... That's for sure..."

Zexus jumped back up to the deck, picking up his sheaths. "Probably didn't compare because we didn't do anthing." He set his weapons back inside his coat and went back to lay on the railing.

"Huh. I knew men were stupid...But not this stupid...." Carmen blinked and took another sip of rum.

"Is you say so miss Carmen." Zexus put his hands behind his head and looked up at the sky.

Carmen spit out the rum in shock."What did you just call me!?!?"

"Zexus.." Elizabeth started, staring at him and sighing. "You see.. The pirates I've seen in Spain.. well.. They were at least ten notches above everybody on this crew.. Even captain Sarah.. They were just that good, and no, I am not over exaturating. They were wicked pirates, clean cut, strong, chivalrous, skilled in the art of swords.. Everything you'd want in just one single man, but they were pirates.. I'm sorry, you'd just never measure up to them.. And I know you are going to say I'm only saying this because I'm a girl, but that's only because all the men on this ship are way too proud to admit that there are people who are better than them.." She shrugged lightly and looked forward, staring mainly at the dock.

Kika looks over at Elizabeth. "So are you saying that us pirates aren't good enough for you?" Is irritated by her putting down of her fellow pirates.

"Ignore her Kika.."Carmen smiled."Some people are just stupid to not know how great pirates can really be.One of my old crew members hated the fact that he was a pirate so he quit my crew.Some poeple just hate pirates."

"Now, I never said I hated pirates.. I just said you could never measure up to those pirates I saw in Spain... That's all.. " Elizabeth glared at Carmen, giving off a low grunt as she looked back towards a the deck. "Pirates aren't all that great anyways, and obviously I'm not stupid if I can devise plans well enough to assassinate someone miss "know nothing" Carmen."

"Well obviously that king wasn't so smart if he was killed by you. And if you don't think pirates are all that great, then why are you here? Those punks in spain aren't nearly as good as you exagerate them to be. Why don't you just take your pathetic non-sense back to spain if they are so good? Wait... didn't they not want you either?" Kika rolls her eyes and goes back below deck to her kitchen.

"Know nothing? Is that your best insult?"

"Heavens no, but I wouldn't want to insult a "Pirate Lord"" Elizabeth said, saying the last nine words ever so sarcastiacally with body gestures and all.

"Uh-huh." Carmen stretched ehr arm.

"Basically, all I was saying to begin with was that, Assassins are better than pirates but they are the only ones with a boat I could use to get out of Spain..." She said with a slight shrug, pulling her hair over her shoulder and pulling the ends to her face to examine them.

"HA! Assasins better than pirates?" Carmen laughed

"Yes, cause we can actually think and devise plans that work." Elizabeth let her hair fall as she turned around on the rail and stepped off. "We don't go lugging are big fat feet around, we don't need weapons to kill, we don't wear rediculously "fancy" clothes, we don't need a ship to haul ourselves around, we don't need leaders cause we can bloody think for ourselves, we are quick, we are stealthy, we are the type who are actually noted for what they do, we are the ones who have courage, we are the ones who take pride in what we have done and/or are going to do, we make good plans and if they fail we find a way to get ourselves out of trouble stealthily instead of just blowing off a pistol round or swing our blades around." She let her hands slide behind her back, lacing fingers down near her butt, and began to whistle a small tune as she looked up into the sky.

"Some pirates are like that. Most of us are sophistacated... Unlike you killing machines..."

Kika comes up eating an apple, unphased by Elizabeth's ranting. "I see someone thinks very highly of herself. I'd watch your tongue 'little miss assassin', I can promise you that most, if not all of these pirates her are much better then you think. And some are more then just 'big fat feet.' Beside if you don't like it then leave. Go take you gibberish elsewhere." Kika leans against the mass.

"Nah, I think I'll stay. We're still close to Spain, dearest, and I really don't want to be captured again. And yes, I do think highly, of ASSASSINS, not myself. Pft, chyeahright.. If I thought high and mighty of myself I would've never got on this ship.. I would've freed my brother, stole a ship with him and sailed away from the corpse of that fat bastard." Elizabeth's own words sliced at her heart. "But.. I guess I couldn't have freed him seeing as he was dead long before I escaped... but, whatever... what I speak is not gibberish. Oh, and Old lady Carmen, so you're saying that you don't sail a ship like the rest? What do you do, swim the Seven seas with your crew?" She laughed and walked away.

Kika continued eating her apple. "Some people are so full of themself that they percieve others that they are so bad and they are so good to mask their own wretchedness. What a sad creature she is."

Sarah sat at the end of the dock thinking to herself.

Carmen yawned and walked to Sarah

Sarah looked up at Carmen and sighed. "Im so confused..."

"Life is confusing."Carmen smiled adn hugged her.

Sarah sighed. "I've known you for a while now, and your overemotional... could you explain to me what 'love' feels like?"

Carmen blinked and sighed. She looked up at te sky and chuckled. "Heh..Love... Such a feeling I had so long ago..I forget how good it felt...Sarah, Love is the feeling of attachment. The feeling of eels in your tummy when your around a certain person." She poked Sarah's belly. "Its the feeling to protect someone,no matter what the cost."

Sarah growled. "I thought so, and it sucks... It makes me feel weak in the knees..."

Kika looks over at Carmen and Sarah. "New to the feeling?" Directed to Sarah.

"Its suppous to..."Carmen smiled

Sarah jumped up from being startled by Kika. The dock broke from under her and she fell into the water. She came up to the surface and looked up at Carmen and Kika. "Please dont sneak up on me like that..."

Zexus looked down at the Sarah. "Um...cap'n she was there the whole time." He took out a spanish coin and began to flip it in the air.

"I didn't mean to, I'm sorry." Kika reaches her left arm down, offering a helping hand to Sarah.

Carmen grabbed arope and let it down to Sarah

Sarah smiled and grabbed Kika's hand. Once she got on the dock she shook one of her legs. "And, I'm going to go get changed."

"Smart idea." Carmen chuckled.

Kika laughed and looked over at Carmen. "Not that far down."

"Rope is fun though..."

"You think so? Then maybe we should tie someone up with it." Kika chuckles and gets back onto the ship.

Zexus rolled his eyes and went back to watching the clouds.

"Hm.."Carmen looked at the rope.

Sarah went into the captain's quarters and opened up the chest at the end mof the bed. She went through all the clothes and only found one thing not torn. She growled and hung up her clothes to dry out. "Its only until they're dry..." she mumbled, putting on the only thing she had. She came back down on the dock wearing a very fancy red dress. "Dont say ANYTHING." she growled at everyone.

Elizabeth heard sarah growl out a command and looked at her. She couldn't stop herself from running over to her and pulling at the fabric, examining it and smiling. "Aww, captain, it's such a lovely dress!" She exclaimed, smiling at Sarah, then looking at the dress again. "Where ever did you get such a lovely piece of clothing like that? I might just go and get myself one. Between you and me, I think you look better in pretty dresses than your stuffy old captain's outfit."

Kika looks over at Sarah, eyes widding and starts choking on a piece of an apple, laughing slightly.

Sarah sighed. "It was my mothers." she said.

"Am I the only one who accually likes it?"Carmen pulled something out of her backback.It was a beautiful black dress."Trade?"

Elizabeth growled at Carmen before getting back to the dress before her. "Captain Sarah, why don't you like the dress? It really accentuates your lovely curves, makes your hair stand out very beautifully, goes perfect with your skin.. Why, I would wear that dress all the time if I were you. It's so beautiful. PLUS! It's red, a very fitting color for a pirate like yourself.. Black, you don't want black, black is a very bland color when it's made into a dress color. Besides that fact, it was your mother's dress and if I were you I'd treasure it."

"I do, and I never wear it... but I have nothing left." Sarah sighed. "I just dont like the way it makes my breasts pop out..." (very blunt, but true *nods*)

"Oh, but Captain! If you needed clothes you could've asked me for some.." Elizabeth smiled and placed her hands on Sarah's shoulders, pulling herself close to her ear and whispering, "Heh, maybe a guy'll find you attractivein that dress and you can crush his spirits." She pulled back, giving off a wide grin and staring out at Tortuga from the ship deck. "So, do you want some clothes?"

Carmen glared at Elizabeth. "There is no way Im letting you take over her.." She took Sarah's hand. "Come on.I'm sure I have some close that will not make you look like an assaisinate tramp. Unlike someone!" Carmen yelled out someone and led Sarah the her ship.

"Dude, that's very low.. Just cause I said black was a bland color on a dress.. " Elizabeth rolled her eyes and let Sarah be led away. "Besides, it's not a compitition on who's clothes she feels comfortable in." She gave a small sigh and placed her hands on her own hips. "Geez..." She shook her head and headed off to her own room. She felt like she needed to change out of her clothes that she's been wearing for a while now. "Hm.. nice new, warm clothes... "

Kika spits out the piece of apple she was choking on and calms down from the laughing, tossing the rest of the apple into the water. "Well this is gonna be a very looooong trip." Chuckles walking to the bow of the ship looking at the sunset. "I wonder if I should stay or not, with that assassin on board. How troublesome."

Zexus took off his coat and tossed it to Sarah. "Cover yourself with that so those two would stop bickering..if you would cap'n. And Don't worry about her Kika, already had the kid take her weapons for me."

Sarah pulled from Carmen and sighed. "Your clothes dont fit me." she said, giving Zexus his jacket back. "If any guy hits on me I have my steel toed boots, so yeah, im alright." she smiled sweetly and innocently.

Kika looks over a Zexus and chuckles. "I'm not worried about that kid doing anything. I'm worried about getting my meat cleaver dirty if she tries anything." Laughs uncontrollably.

"I have smaller clothes that dont fit me anymore."Carmen smiled she looked through her closet and pulled out a short and pants that were red and black and just Sarah's size

Sarah rolled her eyes. "Im fine Carmen, really... I actually kinda want to wear it..."

"Perfect!Then anyman who tries to stare at you will get the shit beaten out of them by me and this metal pipe I found!"Carmen giggled happily

Sarah sighed and looked down at the dress. She lifted it up and showed Carmen the steel toed boots. "Im all set."

"But..I wana hit people with a pipe..."

Sarah walked back to the deck. "You can do that in your own free time." she said. She looked around as if she was looking for someone.

"Who ya looking for?"Carmen poped up behind her.

Sarah sighed when she didnt see him. "No one..."

"You know cap'n your more likely to see him at the tavern." Zexus said, calm as usual.

In a split second a gun was pointed at Zexus's head."Oh...Its just you..."

Kika walks past everyone silently and jumps off the ship. "Let me know when we ready to depart." Walks down the docks feeling sad.

Zexus turned his head to see Kika walking off. "Wonder where she's going."

Carmen blinked."Was it something I said?"

Zexus shrugged. "I really don't know. I'm going to go ask her.." He lept off the side of the ship and jogged off to catch up with Kika.


Sarah sighed again and smirked. "He probably is at the tavern..."

"Who?"Carmen blinked.

Sarah sighed. "The guy I like... Carmen, what am I to do? I mean... hes part of my crew!"

"So?Sarah,dont be stupid.You've never liked a guy.For a while,I thought your were a lesbian and had to watch my ass,but this is damn cute!Go after him!"

Sarah sighed. "Im not sure..."

Kika keeps walking down the docks and past the bar, thinking to herself.

Carmen paused."Did I just say that outloud?"

Zexus caught up with Kika. "Hey, Kika...what's wrong?" Zexus asked, sounding genuinely concerned for once.

Elizabeth came walking back up from her room fashioning a new set of clothing. A white dress that clung to her torso but flared out once it hit her hips, a small string tied in bows on either side near her hips. It had frills coming from the cleavage with a bow coming from that as well. The dress only reached a max of six inches from her pelvis, if that. Around her neck hung a locket, now vissible that the long sleeve wasn't covering it up, which was a silver heart that held Lex's and her own picture on either side of it. She was bare footed, but only because that's what she thought was comfortable to her, she didn't very much like any of her shoes that went with it. She gave a low yawn as she looked around the deck. "Where is everyone Captain Sarah? Seems they all left. Eh, doesn't matter too much, I was thinking of walking around, maybe be going to the tavern..." She gave a small shrug and let off another yawn, looking out to the sea.

"What business is it of yours?" Kika snapped still walking out of town to a rocky area.

Sarah smiled and started walking to the Tavern. "Now that the ship is done the crew can do what they with till morning."

"Ill begin repairs on my ship then."Carmen waved at Sarah and started walking to her ship

Zexus stopped walking. "None I suppose."

"I'll go with you.." Elizabeth said boredly, lightly stepping across the deck and following behind Sarah. She began to look around, now a bit entertained by all the looks given by the pig-headed men to her captain. "You should cruch their spirits.."

"Hm..maybe I should get a drink first." Carmen walked into the tavern, startied drinking, and was flirting with all the idiotic drunken men, and slapping them if they touched her.

Kika stopped about half way up the stone steps and turns around looking at Zexus. "Why are you always following me and concerned about meh anyways?"

Sarah stopped and sighed. "Maybe I should just go back to the ship..."

Elizabeth placed her hand on Sarah's shoulder and smiled at her. "If you love the man you're talking about then don't worry about those pigs.. I can take care of them for you.. I may not have my weapons, but I'm still handy with my hands.. I'll make sure they could never look at you again if they tried.>"

An extremely loud."WWWWWWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!"Was heard from the tarvern.Carmen was spinning around drunkly

Sarah sighed. "I dont want to ruin his night..." she said, walking back towards the ship. "Ill just look over the maps and stuff..."

"Captain.. do you love him?" Elizabeth asked, just standing and watching her.

Sarah sighed. "Yes, but I have the feeling he loves someone else..."

"Well, you'll never know for sure unless you ask him.. Captain, if you just do this one little favor for me, I will swear my full allegiance to you. So, what do you say? Go see if he loves you back and get a skilled muderer on your crew, or don't go, don't find out, don't get love and don't have a skilled murderer on your ship.."

"Who needs a murderer when shes got men and rum!"Carmen glomped Sarah."Besides I <3 HER!!!"Screamed an obviously
drunk as hell Carmen

"not only that she already has one"Ziar said.

Sarah sighed, slightly annoyed.

Elizabeth gave a small sigh and gripped Carmen's flabby arms, draggin her away from Sarah and back to the Tavern. When she walked past Ziar she gave an innocent grin and fluttered her eye lashes. "I suppose you would get frisky with a king just to kill him?" She rolled her eyes and continued draggin carmen back to the tavern, sighing from the strong smell of rum. "How can you drink that nasty stuff?"

Ziar sighed"now that brings back old memories o by the way im told i look good in a dress man i had alot to drink after that night but ya gotta do what ya gotta do to get the job done"chuckeld Ziar"worst night of my life that night was"shivers.

"Eh." Zexus said. "I think I'll just go make sure the lil' assassin doesn't whore out your cap'n." He jumped, grabbed a second floor balcony and lept to the roof, walking back toward the ship and the tavern along the rooftops."

Kika looked back sad that he left and continued her climb up the steps to a small cave.

Elizabeth laughed at Ziar's sarcasm and threw Carmen into the door of the tavern, walking back and sighing quietly. She bowed her head to Sarah. "Sorry Captain, I'll go now since you look irritated.. and mister Ziar, I hope that wasn't my dress you used.." She said casually. "Cause, um, this has felt like it was stretched out ever since I've found it." She giggled quietly and bowed her head to Ziar before running off, bare feet and all. "BUT YOU'RE WELCOME TO WEAR MY CLOTHES ANYTIME!!" She hollared back to him, waving over her shoulder.

Zexus jumped down off the roof in front of Ziar and Sarah. "So, what trouble has that succubus caused so far?"

Ziar chuckeled"ill rember that. theirs trouble?

"Guess not" Zexus said. "So where will our cap'n be going tonight?"

"RUM IS GOOD!"Carmen started running around

"really"Ziar grabs two pints and chugs them."humm the rum is good.

Carmen smashed abottle upside his head."That was my rum..."

Zexus tried not to chuckle. "I think we should bring miss Carmen back to her ship, or ours, until she's sobered up a bit."

Carmen pointed her pistol at Zexus."Call me...miss...Carmen,one more time...I dare you..."

Ziar handed Carmen a huge case of rum that has about 100 pints in it."sorry bout the rum here sum to take its place and why dont you put down the pistol luv.

"Here we go miss Carmen." Zexus said, putting her under his arm, holding her so she couldn't his any vital areas.

Carmen shoved Zexus away."If I can point a gun at you,Im not that drunk...And...Did you..just...Call me luv?"She asked Ziar.

Ziar chuckeled"Zexus put her down its a night to drink and be merry dont ruin it and why yes i did is that a problem luv?

Carmen blushed alittle."no..Not really..Just..No man has ever been brave enough to call me luv for fear of me killing them...

"well im glad i could be the frist rum?"said Ziar as he afford a bottle of rum.

Carmen smiled and took a swig of rum

Zexus set Carmen down. "If you say so....just dun try getting luck with her. Let her make the choice." He sat down in the corner, waiting for the rest of the crew to show up...if they were going to.

Sarah walked onto her ship The Hunter Ship

Carmen glared at Zexus.

"Carmen ya wanna go for a walk?" asked Ziar.

Kika walks back down by the tavern looking in the window. "Looks like they are having a merry good time."

"O-okay..."Carmen blushed and looked away

Ziar opens the door for Carmen."after you luv.

Carmen blushed adn walked quickly

Ziar smiled and walked beside Carmen.

Carmen took out a gold coin and flipped it around,boredly

Ziar stopped suddenly. im sorry luv i must go.

"Why?"Carmen turned to him.

"im sorry i cant explain to you why at this moment but here take this"Ziar hands Carmen his necklace. if ya ever need me ill be there for you now luv i must go.Ziar gave Carmen a kiss the walked away towards the docks.

Carmen held the necklace and blushed."W...Wait!"She ran upto him,pulled him back and kissed him smack on the lips.

Ziar said"goodbye luv till next time i see you" Ziar jumped into his boat and sailed away.

Carmen stood there,shocked,confused,and slightly dazed."What just happened.Did I just..And he...Oh god..Im talking to myself again.."Carmen sighed.

Zexus walked up beside Carmen. "Don't worry about it miss Carmen, Ziar tends to do things like this." With that, he strode off into tortuga.

Carmen followed him."Wait one second.What do you mean,do things like this?"

Ziar taps on Carmens shoulder"what he means i have a tendency of just sailing away for no reason but for sum reason i couldn't today."

Zexus smiled. "I'll leave you two be." He lept onto a low roof and went to wander the town as he was wont to do.

Carmen gasped adn turned,blushing when she saw him."Um...I thought...you had to go..."

"i did but i decided their was sumthing more important to do" Ziar said while looking into Carmen's eyes.

Kika walked back to The Hunter Ship. "Ugh all this rum and love is making me irritated."

"What could be more important...?"Carmen blushed

"well luv i would have to say you"Ziar smirked

Carmen's eyes widened as her cheeks became bright scarlett."I..dont see How I could possibly be important...

"Well luv youve stolen sumthing from me so right now your the most important person in the world." said Ziar

"Stolen something?"Carmen looked at him confused.

"Yes luv youve stolen my heart" Ziar said while looking into Carmen's eyes.

"Oh that is the most stupid line Ive ever heard!"Carmened hugged her arms."But...The cutest one too.."

Ziar smiles and laughs"well luv what say we go have a couple pints?"

"Sure"Carmen smiled and had put on the necklace he gave her

"ya like that neaklace i gave ya luv?" Ziar asked while drinking a pint.

Carmen smield and sipped the pint

"Its actully very speaical necklace luv cause its a set i have the other one whenever ya need me it will glow and vis versa it also will point in the direction of the other neacklace so no madder where you are luv ill be there for ya and since i have one of the fastest ships on the seas ill be there in no time."

Carmen smiled and grabbed his hand.

Ziar smiled and grabbed her other hand. im talking to much arent i.

"No..I like the sound of your voice."

Ziar smiled and chuckeled alittle. eh at much rather hear your beautiful voice then my horrible one.

"I like your voice."Carmen stared into his eyes

Ziar sighed. Carmen i dont want this night to end cause i know come morning ill be out in the seas again.

"Dont worry...I know we'll meet up again..."Carmen kissed hsi cheek

Ziar smiled"ya your right so lets celebrate tonight and forget about whats gonna happen tommarrow.Ziar rasied his cup"heres to you luv"

Carmen raised her glass."To this night.

Ziar threw sum coins at the musicains"wanna dance luv?"Ziar said while offering his arm.

Carmen blushed and linked arms with him."Of course...but Ive never been good at dancing.."

Carmen placed a hand on his shoulder.

Ziar placed a hand on her weighst and held her hand in the other.

Carmen gulped and looked down at her feet

Ziar lifted her head up and smiled"look up here luv and don worry bout steppen on my feet ive had 12 pints i wont feel a thing if you do step on um.


Carmen smiled.She started to dance slowly as the music started

Ziar smiled."there you go luv your doing it perfectly"

"I am?"Carmen smiled.

"yeap your a wonderful dancer luv"said Ziar

"Thank you..."Carmen smiled..

"your welcome"Ziar smiled then suddenly fell to the floor.

Carmen screamed and picked him up."Ziar!!"

Ziar looks into Carmens eyes and smiles"im alright luv i just had to much to drink sorry for the scare."

Carmen sighed in relief."Maybe we should get you to a bed.."Carmen picked him up."You can lie down on my bed in my ship for a little while..."

Kika steps off the hunter ship and walks down the dock back toward the inn.

Zexus began to follow after her, but climbed up onto the top of the building instead. What the hell am I doing? Chasing after some woman I barely know. Well, only one way to decide what to do He thought, taking out a knife with ebony on one side and ivory on the other.

Kika walks into then inn and sits at the bar talking to the bar tender about that other pirate ships in the dock, wondering if she wants to go to another ship.

"This how I got this far in life, so, it's gotta help now." Zexus spun the knife, sending it high into the air. "Ebony and I go find her, ivory, and I leave it be." The knife shot back down, going through the roof and landing in the table infront of Kika.

Kika looks up and then down at the knife. "Where the fuck did that come from?" Pulls it out carefully.

"Guess it's settled then." Zexus said, jumping to the ground and walking into the bar and pulling out his knife.

Kika leaves the inn and head to the outskirts of town.

Kika walked over to Zexus looking him in the eyes and just inches away. "So you wanna tell me why your blade almost killed be at the bar in the Inn?"

Zexus met her gaze. "I was trying to figure something out."

"This" Zexus wrapped his arms around Kika, pulling her to him.

Kika looks at Zexus, confused. "So you almost killed me so you could find out if you could hold me or not?"

Zexus furrowed his brow and let go of Kika. He pulled out the black and white knife. "See this? It's what I've used to make every important choice in th past decade. It's what brought me to asia, to the ship, and not too long ago, off that roof to you."

Kika looked at the knife. "So how does it work?"

"I'm not quite sure, but it hasn't failed me ye." Zexus said, sliding it back into his pocket.

"Oh, so how did it find me then? Did you ask it something?" Kika looks Zexus back in the eyes.

"How? I don't know." Zexus said. "But I'm glad it did."

"Whys that?" Kika looks away.

"You might not feel the same way.." Zexus paused.

"Yes?" Kika adjust her arm brace.

"Heh" Zexus picked her up. "I do." He jumped off the wall onto the roof, taking kika to the largest building on the pier. "This place looks about right."

"Woah." Kika climbs out of his arms and stands there watching the sunset. "This is a good spot."

"Aye, it is." Zexus layed down on the slanted roof, motioning for Kika to have a seat.

Kika carefully walks over and sits down beside Zexus, feeling on her right arm.

Zexus looked over at Kika. "Your arm doing alright?"

Kika looks out at the sunset. "Yes its fine, just a bit sore."

"Ah." Zexus said, rubing her arm gently.

"Its quite fine." Kika nods her head, and grabs Zexus hand kissing it.

"If you say so." Zexus pulled Kikas hand down, kissing it back.

"Thank you for your concern." Kika smiles at Zexus, laying head on his chest.

Kika closes her eyes and falls asleep.

Charles blinked then shrugged and went off towards where the captain was said to be.

Zexus smiled and looked up at the darkening sky.

Kika awoke, sitting up and rubbing her eyes. "Did I sleep long?"

Kika put her hands to her sides, her eyes adjusting to the darkness of the light. "You think we should get back to the ship now?"

Zexus stood up and straitened out his coat. "Probably." He held out a hand to help Kika up.

Kika grabs Zexus hand standing up carefully, a bit wobbley. "Woah..."

Zexus put his hand around Kika's waist, steadying her. "You ok?"

"Yup, just a little of balance is all." Kika balances herself. "So you ready?"

Zexus nodded. "Aye, let us be off then."

Kika jumps on Zexus back holding on tightly. "Hee hee..."

"Heh" Zexus put his arms around her legs for support and ran to The Hunter Ship, jumping between allys as he went.

Zexus jumped down onto the beach. "Odd fellow, that Ziar...oh...uh captain...your hands bleeding."

Sarah dodged the stuff Ziar threw. "I dont want to be help. DONT YOU GET THAT YOU IDIOT?!" Sarah yelled at Ziar.

Ziar chuckeled."well i gess i dont."Ziar then sat on the rock Sarah hit.

"Just leave me alone!" Sarah yelled, running away from them.

Ziar sighed then drank some wiskey."women."

He continued staring until he decided to walk to the person in the alley. When he got closer, he noticed it was his own captain. "Cap'n?" he asked gently, standing beside her, then looking around, then back down at Sarah.

Sarah was crying, her hand still bleeding. She looked up at Joel, her eyes red.

Joel dropped to his knees fast. "Woah Cap'n. What happened??" he asked fast, grabbing the handkerchief that hung at his side. He grabbed her hand gently and wrapped the handkerchief around it tightly to stop the bleeding. Then he looked at her seriously, comfort and care showing in his eyes clearly. "What happened to ya cap'n?" he asked quietly.

Sarah shook her head. "I cant..."

Joel nodded, sitting against the wall beside Sarah. "I understand Cap'n.. if ya don't wanna tell me, it's fine! Just know that I am here if ya need someone... to talk to..." he shrugged, trying to think of something else to say to comfort her.

Sarah looked up at him, her eyes angry and hurt. "I cant deal with him playing with my heart anymore! I'd rather take a gun and shoot it out of my own chest." she yelled, not really meaning to, tears streaming out of her eyes.

Joel looked at Sarah. "Who, if I may ask?" he asked quietly. Then he looked forward. "No.. nevermind, it ain't my business! But Cap'n.. don't go talkin' like that! A ship can't be a ship without it's cap'n! We need you" he said sincerely.

Sarah shook her head. "Damion he... he acts like he loves me, but he loves Daiko, and i dont want to get in between that..." she said quietly.

"Cap'n... if ya love someone, who says they love you, but they go for someone else also.. well.. they ain't worth it! Sorry to sound harsh cap'n, but it's true! Ya don't need 'em if they're jusy gonna go breaking your heart! 'Sides, you can do better then 'im!" Joel said, remembering his past, and his broken heart back before joining Sarah's crew. He shook his head, sending the bad memories away.

Sarah shook her head. "The first guy I ever fall for and this happens... makes you not wanting to try again..."

"I know cap'n! Before i joined your crew, I got hurt like that.. why do ya think I don't have nobody now?" Joel said, looking down at the ground sadly. He picked up a rock and played with it in his hand.

Sarah looked down at the ground. "Im sorry..."

"Don't be Cap'n!" Joel said, half smiling to Sarah.

Sarah wiped her face of the tears and smiled, kissing Joel on the cheek. "Thankyou for being there for me."

Joel blushed lightly and smiled at Sarah. "My pleasure Cap'n! I'm always here.." he chuckled lightly.

Sarah smiled and stood up, holding her hand out to Joel. (FYI: Shes still wearing that damn dress XD)

Joel smirked and took Sarah's hand and stood up beside her.

Sarah meeped and turned around quickly as someone put their hand on her shoulder. She looked eye to eye with a drunker and a few friends. "Well 'ello there m'lady." he slurred, his breath smelling like cheap rum.

Sarah wrinkled her nose. "...hello..." she said. This guy isnt on my crew... so what in the hell does he want...?

Joel stood almost half behind Sarah, looking at the group facing her.

The drunkard grabbed Sarah around the waist and smirked. "Ya seemed lonely and me an my buddies..." but he didnt finish because of Sarah's gun in his mouth. The friends drew their guns, but Sarah also had her sword out.

"Let go of me now or i'll cut of what you hold dear..." she growled dangerously low. The man nodded and let go, putting his hands in the air, the gun still in his mouth.

Joel stayed in the spot where he was, still watching. He didn't much care for confrontations. If he could, he would usually avoid them and let others handle the situation.

Daiko had been walking for an hour into the woods. "STUPID DAMION! WHY THE HELL DID I THINK I COULD TRUST HIM?!" He cleaved a tree in two. He threw his sword into a tree and kicked it in half. "I just don't fucking know anymore." Daiko took his nodachi out of it's sheath and stared at it. "Let's see if i really am worth it." Daiko jumped up in front of a tree and impaled himself with his sword, attaching him to the tree. He coughed up blood in his hand, smiled and lost consciousness.

Daiko awoke affixed to the tree. He was bleeding out of his mouth and the wound caused by his sword. "p...p..oint..less..." he whispered as he and the sword fell off the tree. As a pool of blood began to form below him, he started to slowly crawl back towards Tortuga.

Daiko pushed himself up off the ground and attempted to stand. It was agonizing but he felt he had made a mistake. He knew this wound would not take his life. He walked back into Tortuga and towards the ship. He heard raised voices in an alley and slowly pushed his body to walk towards it. He drew his sword, but only for intimidational purposes. He knew that he was no good in a fight while bleeding from his abdomen. He saw his captain and Joel in the alley with Sarah threatening the thugs. Trying to play like he was in on a "trap", Daiko mustered his strength and stood up straight with his sword out. "You drunkards fell right into our trap!" Daiko said to them as his muscles burned to keep him standing upright.

Sarah heard Daiko's voice behind her and her eyes flickered, but only for a moment. The drunkards took one look at Daiko's huge sword and saw the odds were against them, so they ran away. Sarah put her sword away and sighed, taking a small hankerchief from where Ziar dropped it and cleaned the spit off her gun. "Damn drunkards..."

Joel turned and looked at Daiko, then turned and watched the drunkards run off.

"Hey Captain. I..have a problem..." Daiko said as he sheathed his sword. "Im...sort..of...bleeeding..." Daiko was able to say before he hit the ground and blacked out.

Sarah turned around quickly. "Oh shit..."

Zexus jumped down off the rood. "Wow...Daiko...I think you could use these more than the ship at the moment." He pulled some bandages and ointment out of his coat.

Daiko simply lay on the ground, a pool of blood forming beneath him.

Zexus kneeled beside him, and began to clean the wound. "Oye, cap'n could I get some help?"

Sarah nodded slightly and knelt down next to Zexus and Daiko. "What do you need?"

"Just keep him on his side while I clean his back...and make sure he keeps breathing." Zexus said, moving to the other side of Daiko.

Sarah nodded and held Daiko on his side. The fool...

Zexus finished cleaning the wound and began to wrap it. He looked over at Daiko's sword. "Cap'n...Daiko did this to himself..."

Daiko rolled over on to the back wound, revealing the bloody holes in his front. He coughed up blood and opened his eyes. "I sort...of....fell on my....sword..." He coughed again and clenched his fist.

Zexus roughly shoved Daiko back on his side, continuing to bandage the wounds. "Don't lie to me Daiko."

Sarah looked over at the sword that layed on the ground. She looked back at Daiko. "Why would you try to kill yourself?"

"The original wound wouldn't have taken my life. I think..." Daiko coughed again. "I sustained these on the way here. I'm not dumb enough to attempt to take my own life." Daiko said. He hoped the others believed him.

Zexus furrowed his brow as he finished bandaging Daiko. "Bullshit."

Daiko stood up and used his sheathed sword to walk back to The Hunter Ship

Sarah stood up and rolled her eyes. "He probably tried killing himself because he saw Damion kiss me..." she growled, walking after him.

Joel quickly followed Sarah, walking right beside her. "You sure ya wanna go after him, cap'n?" he asked cautiously.

Zexus stopped Joel. "Leave the be, they have to figure this out on their own."

Joel glared at Zexus. "She might do something bad.. someone needs to stop her... 'sides, I wanna be there for her if she breaks down!" he said, a hint of caring for his captain glinting in his eyes.

Zexus shook his head. "That's not the best Idea at the moment, they need to talk this over themselves."

Joel shook his head at Zexus. "I'm going after my captain. She's gonna need someone to talk to after.. trust me. I'm gonna be there for her!" he pulled from Zexus's grasp and ran after Sarah and Daiko.

"Fool..." Zexus walked back towards the ship, to see if he coud keep things under control.

Kaiser stood up and walked out into the water feeling it hit him wave after wave.

Sarah and Joel walked up to him. Sarah smiled "Kaiser, will you be coming back on the ocean with us? Or do you wish to stay here at Tortuga?" she asked.

Kaiser turns around and looks at them."I think I'll..." just then a wave hit him knocking him to the ground.

Sarah picked him up by the back of the shirt. "You alright?"

Kaiser looked up at her."Ya just a little salt in my eyes." He said blinking his eyes a little."I want to go with you guys." he said.

Sarah smiled. "Okay, then get on the ship." she chuckled, ruffling his soaked hair.

Kaiser laughed and headed back to the The Hunter Ship

Sarah led Joel all around Tortuga and told everyone on the crew to go back to the ship... all except one. She sighed. "Now we just need to find Damion..."

Joel nodded. "Where would he be?"

Sarah thought. "He may be at the tavern... but im not sure..." she sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose.

aribelian appeared next to the captains right elbow. "captain, i can search mentally and then teleport him to the ship if you like?"

Sarah shook her head. "I have something to tell him, and he may not want to stay on the crew, if you wish to stay, then get your ass on the ship." she smiled pleasently.

ari frowned, "aye captain." he raised a hand and twitched a finger. in a flash he was back onboard the hunter ship.

Demon escaped from the humans and formed back to Damion. He started running through the woods. "DAIKO!" He started yelling out. "DAIKO WHERE ARE YOU?!"

Zexus was laying in a nearby tree. "Daiko's already back on the ship dude, as we need to be as well."

Damion jumped at Zexus's voice. He sighed deeply of happiness and relief to hear that Daiko was still alive. He nodded at Zexus. "Thank you." He spoke lightly and ran back towards the ship.

"Looks like my work here is done...back to the ship I go" Zexus strode off towards the ship.

Sarah saw Damion running towards the ship and smiled softly. She turned to Joel and kissed him lightly. "Lets head back to the ship so we can sail off."

Joel nodded, returning the kiss lightly. He clutched Sarah's hand and turned to face the ship.

Sarah laughed and ran ahead, draggind Joel behind her.

Damion saw Sarah with Joel and stopped dead in his tracks. quickly a single tear drop fell from his right eye.

Daiko was walking back to the ship and saw Damion standing, staring at the captain and walked up next to him. "And you wanted her over me...oh well." Daiko boarded the ship alone.

Damion ran after Daiko and grabbed his arm and turned him around. He suddenly kissed Daiko hoping that he would kiss him back.

Daiko pushed Damion away. "If you want me so badly you shouldn't have kissed her. You're going to have to do alot more than that to prove im not some worthless piece of trash to you, because seeing you kiss her made me feel that way." Daiko turned and boarded the ship.

Sarah looked at Joel and cocked her head slightly. "Are you okay?"

Joel nodded. "Yea, why wouldn't I be??"

Sarah grinned. "Nah, I was just wondering because you were being quiet." she chuckled.

Joel shrugged. "I just got nothing to say, that's all!"

Sarah smiled and lead him to the ship. "Time to sail off onto the vast, blue ocean." she said softly, hugging Joel.

Joel put his arm around Sarah and hugged her lightly.

Sarah smiled, feeling as safe as she ever felt. She pulled away and smiled, starting to climb onto the deck.

"welp gess its time to head out"Ziar drank sum rum and walked to his ship The Pheonix and jumped onto it.

The Hunter Ship soon left tortuga, not to return for quite a while.

Brandon watched as the imperials were taking stuff off the Garnet. "Those bastards!" he said as he saw them take his lucky sword. He hid behind a barrel polishing his rifle when the imperials said, "Looks like that barrel has a gun." they came over and moved the barrel. "Hey imperials up here." said Brandon as he appeared on the mast.

"Don't just stand there." one of the imperials said. "Get him!"
